After doing a day of the Iron Horse Roundup 8/31/02, I rode the dinner train. The service was excellent as was the food. The cars were really nicely done and I enjoyed myself and my tablemates. A highlight was at the turn around point, we were allowed off and while others smoked , I enjoyed an intensely star filled sky. The dessert was tastee and a good time was had by all.````Chris

I rode the mid-day Wild Flower Ride, which is only offered in the spring. Food was way beyond what is usually offered on these trains. I had salmon. It was prepared onboard, not cooked before hand and carried on board in a heated box. The view was more like Wyoming than California - wide open and beautiful. I can recommend the day trip; it was great.

As a surprise my fiance took me on the train. The reception prior to departure was fabulous and the formal attire of the guests was impressive. Once on the train the service, food and ambiance of the ride was more than expected. We only live 35 miles away, but it felt like we were in the old west. Thank you for making my Valentines Day very special!

A trip on the Sierra Railroad Dinner Train was a true treat. The wine list is very impressive - all hand selected for uniuqe qualities. The food was superb I had the Grilled Prok Chop it was served with a pineapple chutney and was well paired with the Navarro Vineyards Pinot Noir.

But for more convincentship I need urgent a VHS video or DVD about the Dinner/Wedding Train for better use.
